Hi, I am Akshada!

I am a relational psychotherapist and inner-world explorer. I work with people experiencing a wide range of problems from a trauma-informed, gender-affirmative, and intersectional lens woven in social justice.

My therapeutic work focuses on their inner world, attachment, self-acceptance, healing, building autonomy, and moving from surviving to thriving, all the while bridging their connection with their own humanness.

I work with teenagers, young adults, and adults up to the age of 45, and help them become the versions of themselves they want to be.

Work

In 2021, I started working in a higher educational setting where I supported students, staff and faculty, some of whom were still stuck in the lockdown away from their loved ones. I also led the Clinical team in developing and setting up screening tools, documentation formats, progress trackers and other clinical processes. I was also actively involved in developing and facilitating Faculty Development programs, corporate sessions, workshops, mental health campaigns, events and mentoring interns.

For the past 4 years, I have been working as a Wellbeing Manager in Trust & Safety, where I lead the wellbeing program safeguarding digital frontline workers, developing their resilience and weaving psychological safety into their working environment. My current work is heavily focused on trauma prevention through workshops, 1:1 sessions, group sessions and mental health awareness campaigns along with my own team.

My roots:

I started my career volunteering for a mental health helpline during the pandemic when the country did not have a sustainable mental health support infrastructure to support its people during the pandemic. During this time, I upskilled, took on new professional development programs and worked in a volunteering and consulting capacity for NGOs, helplines and corporates.
