And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.”

Hello, I am Khyati (she/her).
I incline towards an multidisciplinary and humane model of mental health, where the self, community, nature and paced living come together to support well-being not as an obligation, but as an intuitive way of living, especially as a need in our current ecosystem.
My education is rooted in the psychodynamic, existential and humanistic modalities of therapeutic approaches along with my interest in the narrative and arts based methods. I come from a trauma sensitized and a psychosocially informed background, where I am drawn towards the decolonial and intersectional feminist perspectives in my being.
This goes on to say that I am a curious and observant professional, who believes in connecting for a therapeutic bond with the other as a mutually meaningful journey, and am diligent towards learning more about you from you, alongside from our working relationship together. My larger aim is to be able to create in abundance gentle support, room for wondering, living, re-living, and care of all, through our sessions. I have been a recipient of therapy myself and it has been quite a process. It still is.
I enjoy reflective writing and photography at leisure as much as my interest towards the field of mental health. I am equally fond of immersing myself in readings and media that speak to me in terms of their creative storytelling and inspiration towards the grandness and mundanity of everyday living.
I am open, but not limited to exploring concerns of anxiety, grief, loss, overwhelm, burnout, complexities in relationships, identity and womanhood, along with pondering over one’s life's purpose and the transitions that come with it.
My work runs with an in-depth focus and is usually long-term in practice. I provide sessions in both Hindi and English at a usual frequency of once a week.
If you are looking for a playground synonymous with reflecting or just being with yourself in the midst of everything that goes around, this might be the place :)

I hold a reputable zest for research conduction and dissemination. I am passionate about exploring contemporary ways of living, sociopolitical themes and the understanding of the Indian psyche using feminist and cultural approaches. I look forward to working around expressive arts at its intersection with mental health. My Master's thesis titled ‘Itminan se: Reveries on Life and Living’ builds up on understanding moments of leisure and slowness in the world of overwhelm and exhaustion under the chronic realm of time compression in the everyday. I am also on the journey to publishing a co-authored systematic review, based on experiences of Indian women with sexism.
