Hi, I am Urvashi!

My Fee:

Indian: INR 1500

Foreign Residents: INR 2500

I am a counseling psychologist with over 2 years of experience.

I work within psychodynamic frame incorporating developmental, social and relational perspectives. My practice is rooted in curiosity, compassion, non-judgment, understanding and sensitivity to trauma, neurodivergence, caste, gender & sexual identities.

I provide online therapy to adults (age 18 years to 45 years) for a wide range of concerns

  1. Feeling stuck, anxious, low

  2. Experiencing self doubt, low self esteem, questions around identity

  3. Navigating change, uncertainty or loss

  4. Relational difficulties such as dependency, trust, commitment

  5. Difficulty in expressing emotions

  6. Body Image concerns

Right after my master's, I started working in a mental health organization providing therapy to adults. My work there brought up many questions in me regarding my practice and approach, and the search for answers to those questions took me toward psychodynamic thought. My first engagement with it began with my own therapy with a psychodynamic therapist. This ongoing journey has taken me to parts of me which I had disavowed, disliked, and been ashamed of. It has helped me connect with my desires and fantasies and find an element of curiosity and play while engaging with them. It has helped me be more honest with myself. It was this experience that shaped my conviction in psychodynamic work and my decision to offer it as a therapist.

I believe that the difficulties that bring you to therapy are often your mind's way of coping with deeper anxieties and conflicts that aren't always easy to see. Because of this, the work calls for continuous engagement over a longer period, along with a willingness to explore how you came to be the way you are. It pays close attention to past experiences and how they've shaped you, including how you experience emotions, people, relationships, love, and play. This exploration also holds space for how socio-economic and political factors have shaped, and continue to shape, you.

One of my aims in my work is to provide an environment and a relationship where the patient/client can be honest with themselves and find the strength to meet the disavowed parts of themselves. I believe that meaningful change takes time and often arrives quietly. It starts with a small shift within us and slowly flows outward.

I have come to appreciate the ‘greyness’ of our living. I like to express myself not just through words but through images and pictures as well. My page 'the.quiet.change' on Instagram is born out of this part of me. I like to voice my thoughts and observations as they come to me, imperfect, unsanitized, carrying questions and wishes.

Whatever brings you here, if you choose to work with me, it would be my honour to walk alongside you on this journey!
